The Maker uses many unfamiliar terms and acronymns like P-Hud and PAV. What do they mean? Learn the answers in this section.

| Hyper-e, synthetic |
Real coffee in the 24th century is hard to come by. Synthetic is a man-made version of coffee. Hyper-e is a shortenedd version of hyper-espresso, and is designed to give the user a super burst of energy. |
| G-CoN | The Global Community of Nations. A One World government. |
| GIS | Global Information Services. The technology branch of the G-CoN. Addy works for the GIS. |
| Globalcast | The Globalcast is the weekly information briefing of the G-CoN. Each citizen must watch the video feed live and read the information files downloaded into each household. Failure to participate brings the wrath of the G-CoN! |
| GSO | The Global Science Organization. The scientific arm of the G-CoN. Adrien works for the GSO. |
| GSS | The Global Security Services. The military wing of the G-CoN. Damien Addergoole is the Director. |
| Holopad | A hand held electronic pad that projects a screen into the air. The screen is partially transparent allowing the user to look through the screen itself by changing the focal point of the eyes. |
| Holoscreen | A larger version of the screen used with a holopad, typically for computer stations. |
| Holodisplay | The largest version of the holo-type visual interface used for large rooms and group presentations. |
| PAV | A Personal Autonomous Vehicle (PAV). Essentially a car, truck, or other type of vehicle designed to transport passengers. PAVs have the ability to move on wheels, like today's cars, or they can move on magnetic repulsion. In this case, the wheels are retracted and the PAV moves along a highway energized with magnetic energy. |
| P-HUD | A Personal Heads-Up Dispaly. This is a miniature communications chip planted under the skin just behind the temple. A microscopic wire is then imbedded under the skin to the ear drum to provide for sound. Further, the P-HUD is equipped with a micro video player and recorder for video, and can access wireless networks to provide data interface. The P-HUD can transmit a video picture that displays approximately one foot in front of the user's face. |
